Purpose:
To introduce young men, ages 16 – 19 to the social and physical skills necessary to
transition into manhood with the qualities and standards that open doors of
opportunity for future success. The objective is to present a positive plan of
action that inspires and motivates boys to take control of their decisions,
actions and futures.
Mission:
To utilize lectures, workshops, sports and community service activities to
enhance the skills of young men as a means to develop the character and values
that create strong leaders and successful, responsible citizens.

Program Activities:
Social Growth
This portion of the program teaches the social skills to help boys transition into manhood. They will be empowered to
behave appropriately in all environments, make good choices, plan for their futures, communicate effectively, work well
with others and solve conflicts in a win-win manner. This training includes:
- Positive Self-Image – Accepting constructive criticism, taking responsibilities for actions, making mature choices and
goal setting
- Basic Table Manners – Dining Protocol
- Social Conduct – Appropriate interaction with others and establishing values
- Conflict Resolution – Solving problems in a win-win manner
- Personal Finance – Balancing a check book, creating a budget, savings and general money management
- Life Skills – Time management, home management, personal wellness and hygiene
- Count Down to College – Presentation of options including institutions, curriculums and funding
Leadership Training
This portion of the program teaches boys the value of influence and service.
- Community Outreach – Participation in volunteer activities
- Presentation Skills - Preparation and delivery of speeches designed to persuade the audience while using the
techniques of eye contact, body language and vocal variety
Employment Readiness
This portion of the program is designed to prepare boys to enter the employment arena.

Physical and Mental Training
This portion of the program is designed to present techniques to channel boys towards good sportsmanship, performance
and lifelong success.
