Program Overview – Journey to Womanhood
These programs is designed to aid in the transition of girls into womanhood.  It focuses on education and activities that
will increase self-esteem, leadership and character qualities. We utilize lectures, workshops, sports and community
service activities to enhance the skills of teen girls as a means to develop the character and values that create strong
leaders and successful, responsible citizens.

The Journey to Womanhood (ages 15-19)

Social Growth
This portion of the program teaches the social skills to help young ladies transition into womanhood and empower them
to behave appropriately in all environments. They are taught the art of making good choices, plan for their future,
communicate effectively, work well with others and conflict resolution. This training includes:

  • Positive Self-Image – Accepting constructive criticism, taking responsibilities for actions, making mature choices
    and goal setting
  • Basic Table Manners – dining out with class
  • Social Conduct – appropriate interaction with others and establishing values
  • Conflict Resolution – solving problems in an suitable manner
  • Personal Finance – balancing a check book, creating a budget, savings and general money management
  • Life Skills – Time management, home management, personal wellness and personal hygiene
  • Count Down to College – presentation of options for funding, courses and institutions for college attendance

Leadership Training
This portion of the program teaches young ladies the value of influence and service.

  • Community outreach – participation in volunteer activities
  • Presentation Skills  - preparation and delivery of speeches designed to persuade the audience while using the
    techniques of eye contact, body movement and vocal variety

Employment Readiness
This program is designed to prepare young ladies to enter the employment arena.

  • Resume Preparation
  • Interview Techniques
  • Dress for Success

Physical and Mental Training
This portion of the program is designed to present techniques to channel the young ladies towards proper health and
nutrition as well the importance of exercising.
